CAPEXIL - An Intro
Indian industries, although scattered, are spreading their wings in the global market at a consistent and fast pace. A part of these industries, we, CAPEXIL, create a vast platform, which is equally effective in terms of generating profit for exporters and foreign importers to share business opportunities and promote India's export. It is apparent with our approximate 4000 members, who are exporters of 16 broad product genres, representing best in their domain. These members enjoy the profit of widespread networking that comes through our marketing strategies and overall associations. We also confer annual awards for our members in recognition of excellence in export performance during the year 2009-10.
We were founded in the year 1958 as a non-profit making organization, set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, with an aim to promote export of Chemical and Allied Products from India. Our headquarter is in Kolkata, and regional offices stretched out to New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, and Kolkata. All of these states are also referred as Industrial hubs in India generating largest GDP.
Since our establishment, we have been voicing for Indian business community, especially Indian Exporters and Foreign Importers. Following are some traits that depict us well, both our credibility and our business motives.
- We ardently advocates for the exporters to the government to offer export assistance to them as well as their member exporters.
- To showcase Indian export in the global market, we send trade delegations in the form of fairs and exhibitions
- We provide support to the importers residing in any part of the world by meeting their sourcing needs, and also of the Indian exporters accordingly.
- We are an ISO 9001 : 2000 certified organization.
Export Performance
When compared to the previous years, our export performance depicts that we have set the new milestone in the domain. Proving this with figures, in the year 2009-10 export of products served under CAPEXIL aegis stayed at Rs. 621270.2 Million (USD 13134.7 Million) as compared to Rs. 564872.6 Million (USD 12301.2 Million) attained during the year 2008-09. Herein, the export growth rate achieved during the span is 6.8% in dollars and 10% in rupees. Vision

- Organizes buyer contact programmes in India popularly known as Reverse buyer Seller Meets
